1. Low heat storage
The boards are designed to have high thermal stability while exposed to high temperatures. By having low heat storage capacities they tend to dispense high levels of heat compared to the amount retained in the boards.

Ceramic fiber products are much wildly used as high temperature insulation materials in many industries, they are used as backing linings and enhance energy saving rate. How to use them in a right way when installing? Usually we can see the two methods are generally taken to install ceramic fibers.
The first one is to glue the ceramic fiber blankets or felt layers by layers, And then rivet them all together by bolts. Metal bolts will be used if the working temperature is below1222 ℃, while which is higher than 1222 ℃ ceramic riveting will be used . The hot surface will be filled by refractory cement or bulk fires.
The other method is to use ceramic fiber modules, which is made of folded refractory ceramic fiber blanket. The size of the module is usually 305 x 305 x305 mm. The precast module could be installed directly couple with the matching bolts and nuts.
Compared the two methods above, the second one has more energy saving rate as the materials are all ceramic fibers from furnace shell to hot side , at the same time ceramic fiber module is easier to install and convenient to repair. But they are more expensive.
